Mellotronic Memories

When I was only four years old I knew music had magical properties.  We had a piano in our home and I would sit for hours under the piano and feel the strings as I played a note and wondered at the vibrations and how the tone changed with every key I played.

Early in life my family referred to me as Micky the Moonboy for my interest in space, electronics and music.  I suppose that my eclectic interests made me the perfect candidate for later innovations like the Mellotron.

    Hello Mike,
I spent years tracking down an unusual sound that is VERY SIMILIAR to the high-pitched repititous chord/beeping sound that you use in the background of your song “The Best Way to Travel”.
They are similiar in pitch and frequency, only these sounds were reported and recorded in different locations here in the US and Canada from the early 1960’s to the early 1990’s in conjunction with ufo sightings and encounters.
I recorded something very close to being identical as your sound in my back yard back in 1975 during ufo encounters.
As far as I know, I have the largest civilian collection and database of these unusual beeping sounds here in North America that have been thoroughly analysed by a tenured Aerospace Professor at the University of Austin.
I have hundreds of pages of sound analysis from him.
WHERE did you get the idea for this high pitched sound, and how did you create it?

Here’s the story, and I can get you some actual sound recordings for comparison .
I would like for you to contact me if interested.
